Weather and Ski Conditions

Thursday, January 22, 5:35 AM update:

Good morning skiers and riders, we got 2" of snow last night and for Thursday, we plan to make turns on 70 trails, with 47 of those getting love from the groomers overnight. The forecast is calling for winds again so please check the Lift & Terrain Status for any wind holds before heading out. 

At Carinthia, Park Crew is working on a rebuild in The Gulch, but you'll find 4 features in The Junkyard, 32 in Upper Fool's Gold, 6 in The Farm, 10 in Prospector, 19 in Nitro, 12 in Lower Fool's Gold, and 6 in the hike park on Grommet!

There are 9 lifts scheduled with first chair of the day at 9:00 and last chair at 4:00. Seasons is scheduled in place of Sundance Express for Wednesday while we perform some required maintenance on that lift. Lifts are scheduled from 9:00 to 4:00 midweek and 8:00 to 4:00 on weekends and these holiday dates: 12/26-12/31, 1/17-1/19, 2/14-2/22. Lift operations are weather dependent. Thursday's forecast is calling for cloudy skies with a chance of snow showers and a high of 27 degrees at the summit and WSW/W 30-45 mph winds, and 34 degrees at the base with SSW/WSW 15-30 mph winds. These winds may affect lifts, so please check back for updates.

Keeping an eye on the weather for this weekend, the forecast is calling for Extreme Cold. We expect to have lifts operating but may have a reduced footprint to decrease exposure risk. If you're planning to visit this weekend, you will need to dress smart with appropriate layers and no exposed skin. We're also expecting snow to roll in Sunday into Monday, so that's something to look forward to! Please check back for updates, we'll share more as our plans are set.

Ego Alley chairlift update: Ego Alley has been an iconic lift here for decades, but after observing how much quicker our other lifts get you all up the mountain accessing the same terrain (and then some!) it submitted a request to take the winter off, which we approved. This decision allows us to focus on delivering the best possible experience across our primary lifts, which are designed to keep you moving quickly and comfortably. While Ego Alley has historically served as a backup lift and operated only a handful of days each season (just nine last winter), we remain confident that our lift network is strong and fully capable of meeting demand. Thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to enhance your time on the mountain. 

Clocktower ticket windows are scheduled 8:45 AM to 4:15 PM, Carinthia ticket windows 8:45 to 1:00 PM, and Sundance ticket window 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Uphill travel is open on the designated route, please call the uphill hotline 802-339-8474 and check the uphill kiosk between parking Lot C and Launch Pad for the most up-to-date info.

D Lot, Tiered Lots, and E Lot offer free parking daily. On weekends and holidays, B Lot, C Lot, Sundance Lot, and Carinthia Lower are paid lots. These are the holiday dates: 12/26-12/31, 1/19, 2/16-2/20. A Lot and Upper Carinthia are paid lots daily. To pay for your spot, look for the sign with your zone and use the Passport Parking app. All lots are free after 1:00 PM each day. On paid days, if your car has four or more people in it, you can use the free carpool sections in the southern end of Lower Carinthia or the northeast end of B Lot. It's always a good idea to take the MOOver if you can!  

Northeast Value Pass Holders: your passes are unrestricted through 2/13! Your restricted peak dates for the season are 12/26–12/31, 1/17-1/18, and 2/14-2/15. Epic Local Passes have no restricted peak dates at Mount Snow!

College Pass Holders, please do not forget to verify your college pass by sending your official college school schedule to https://epicpass.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new, including the student's name and proof of at least 12 credit hours (undergraduate) or 6 hours (graduate) per semester for the 2025/26 school year. To verify your Pass, your name on the credit hours registration proof must match the name on the Pass you purchased. In a pinch, you may also present your student verification at the ticket window, though digitally sending in your enrollment verification is highly recommended.
