How to Prepare for Your Lesson

Drop Off and Pick Up Information

All group lessons of all ages leave from the snow behind the Discovery Center. The Discovery Center is the first building as you enter the Drop Zone (drop zone parking).

Step 1:
Equipment
  • If your child needs rentals, they will be fitted inside the Discovery Center (2nd floor) before you proceed with them to Lesson Check-In.
  • Please allow 60 minutes for the rental process.
Step 2:
Vouchers & Tickets
  • All lessons require a valid lift ticket or season pass to participate, as well as a lesson information ticket in order to participate in a child lesson.
  • If needed, you can pick up pre-purchased lift tickets or request a pass reprint at this time in the Discovery Center (2nd floor).
  • Lift ticket cards are reloadable and can be used for the entire season. Products purchased will be automatically loaded onto the card so you don't need a new one next time!
Step 3:
Lesson Check-In
  • Proceed outside the Discovery Center, with your child, once you have your rental gear and tickets.
  • Check-in 30 minutes prior to the start of your lesson, with your lift ticket/pass, lesson information ticket and ski/snowboard gear.
  • Meet outside the Discovery Center, at the flag that designates the age group of your child.
  • You will need your phone camera to take a photo of your child at the security sign at the entrance to child drop off. This is your security photo that you will need to pick up your child at the end of their lesson.
Lesson Start and Pick-Up Times

All Children are picked up where they are dropped off. Remember, you will need the photo of your child in front of the security sign to pick up your child.

  • Mountain Camp/Riders (7-14 years old) AM: 9:30am - 11:30pm
  • Mountain Camp/Riders (7-14 years old) Full Day: 9:30am - 3:30pm
  • Cub Camp/Riders (3-4 years old) AM: 10am - 12pm
  • Cub Camp/Riders (3-4 years old) Full Day: 10am - 3:30pm

Arrival Information

All Private Lesson participants will meet their instructor outside of the South side of the Discovery Center.

  • If anyone in your party needs rental equipment, they will be fitted inside the Clocktower rental shop before you proceed to meet your instructor unless you purchased your equipment at the Discovery Center..
  • Please allow 60 minutes for the rental process.
Step 2:
Lift Tickets
  • All lessons require a valid lift ticket or season pass to participate.
  • If needed, you can pick up pre-purchased lift tickets or request a pass reprint at this time in the Discovery Center (2nd floor).
  • Lift ticket cards are reloadable and can be used for the entire season. Products purchased will be automatically loaded onto the card so you don't need a new one next time!
Step 3:
Lesson Check-In
  • Check-in 15 minutes prior to the start of your lesson, with your lift ticket/pass, and ski/snowboard gear.
  • Meet your instructor outside the Discovery Center, at the flag that designates "Private Lessons".
Private Lesson Times
  • Half Day AM: 9am - 12pm
  • Half Day PM: 1pm - 4pm
  • Full Day: 9am - 3pm

What to Expect

  • All group lessons are sorted by sport, age, and ability level.
  • The instructor will determine lesson plans based on the group's ability level and goals.
  • All participants will explore terrain aligned to their ability level while practicing new techniques at their own pace.
  • Lunch is included with Full Day Child Group Lessons only. For all other lessons, the instructor will provide breaks for food, water and rest as appropriate.
  • If your child brings snacks, please do not pack any that contain tree nuts.
  • Restroom breaks are built into the day, but all participants are encouraged to use the restroom prior to the lesson start time.

Guests are welcome to bring their own equipment and boots if already owned. If renting, please arrive an hour prior to your lesson start time to ensure enough time for pick up.

Helmets

A winter sport helmet is required for all lesson participants aged 14 and under, and 18 and under in designated children’s lessons. We strongly encourage helmet use for all ages. Helmets can be included along with a rental order or rented separately.

Clothing & Accessories
Waterproof snow pants and gloves or mittens are strongly recommended to keep you warm and dry. Goggles protect your eyes from the cold air and block UV light.
