Choose Snow

Welcome to Choose sNOw! Mount Snow’s program for youth currently in grades 6-11 to earn a 2018-2019 Mount Snow Season Pass by attending two substance abuse prevention educational events with their parents and performing community service by participating in Green-Up Day.

Due to weather, the first Choose sNOw event been postponed until next Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Registration will be from 5:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. at the Grand Summit Hotel at Mount Snow. The program will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. This event MUST be attended by both student and a parent or legal guardian-there are no exceptions. We ask that parents and children sit together for the presentation in order to generate discussion later. The kick-off event will feature Eddie Slowikowski. One dream this internationally known speaker has achieved in his life is running the mile in under 4 minutes. Since 1957, only 442 runners from the United States have achieved this feat. Eddie’s “4-Minute Formula” will get you well on your way to realizing the best version of you. Through over 24 years of storytelling and high-energy showmanship, Eddie shows participants how to follow through on a vision from inception to achievement and how to create positive energy for yourself and others.

The second required event will be on Wednesday, March 21, 2018 from 6:00pm to 7:15pm at the Grand Summit Resort Ballroom. New this year: this event MUST also be attended by both student and a parent or legal guardian. The speaker for the evening is James Orrigo. James is a Motivational Speaker who uses original music to entertain and personal stories to inspire. When he was in high school, he suffered from a severe brain injury. During his recovery, he discovered a passion for using music to help others. James’ life is a testament to the power of overcoming adversity, never giving up, and living purposefully through service to others. James inspires youth across the nation to pursue their passions, serve others, and make positive lifestyle choices.

A make-up date will be held in May at the Twin Valley Middle High School for participants that are not able to attend the second March presentation. You must contact Cindy Hayford at to register for this presentation. All educational presentations are sponsored by the Deerfield Valley Community Partnership in collaboration with Mount Snow.

Once registered students have completed both educational events and participation in Green-Up Day, they will receive a 2018-19 Mount Snow Season Pass. Passes will be mailed in fall 2018.
