Your kids want to have fun! More than just children's lessons, our Mountain Camp/Riders programs are designed with fun in mind. Whether they're just beginning or already tearing it up all over the mountain, they'll laugh their way through a great day of learning and discovery. Our instructors group kids of similar ability before hitting the mountain for a day of fun-filled learning. This program offers full day and half day sessions.

Registration Open:

Weekdays - 8:30am / Weekends & Holidays - 7:30am

Registration is located on the ground floor of the Discovery Center

Full Day Class:

Meets at 9:15am / Pickup at 3:30pm

Half Day Class:

AM Session - Meets at 9:15am / Pickup at 11:30am

PM Session - Meets at 1:15pm / Pickup at 3:30pm

Meeting Area:

Outside the Discovery Center (near the Big Dipper warming hut)

Please note, this Ski and Ride School Program does not include lift tickets and rental equipment. Lift tickets are required for all lesson programs.

2019/20 Mountain Camp/Riders Season Pass On Sale

Allows you to book as many days as you wish throughout the season for one flat rate. Once purchased, simply fill out a Mountain Camp Season Calendar and we will reserve your spot. Once submitted you can add additional dates by calling our reservation department at least 24 hours prior to lesson start times

Mountain Camp Program Pass does not include lift Access. Separate Season Pass or lift ticket required for participation

Ability Chart

Before you arrive for your lesson, take a look at our ability chart to find the level that most describes your skiing and riding

Red

Ski: Never skied at a resort.

Snowboard: Never ridden at a resort.

Yellow

Ski: Can make straight gliding wedge and is learning to turn.

Snowboard: Can traverse on both toe and heel edges. Rides and stops in control. Not yet riding a chairlift.

Light Green

Ski: Can make slow wedge turns and is ready to ride the chairlift.

Snowboard: Starting to link turns on beginner terrain. Has ridden a chairlift.

Dark Green

Ski: Can make fast wedge turns and ski Green terrain unassisted. Very comfortable riding a chairlift.

Snowboard: Easily links turns on beginner terrain. Ready for more difficult terrain. Very comfortable riding a chairlift.

Light Blue

Ski: Can turn with skis parallel on Blue terrain. Very comfortable riding any chairlift.

Snowboard: Rides Blue terrain. Beginning to carve turns. Ready to start riding switch and basic freestyle outside of terrain parks. Very comfortable riding any chairlift.

Dark Blue

Ski: Can ski mostly parallel turns on Blue terrain. Ready to start skiing Black terrain, trees, and freestyle outside of terrain parks. Advanced Release Required.

Snowboard: Carves turns on all Blue terrain. Links basic switch turns. Ready to start riding Black terrain, trees, and freestyle outside of terrain parks. Advanced Release Required. 

Purple

Ski: Can ski parallel on Black terrain. Advanced Release Required.

Snowboard: Rides all Black terrain, bumps, and trees. Comfortable riding switch on Blue terrain. Advanced Release Required.

Park

Ski: Minimum Dark Blue level. Ready to learn terrain park basics. Learning basic and advanced tricks on small features and basic tricks on medium and large features. Advanced Release Required.

Snowboard: Minimum Dark Blue level. Ready to learn terrain park basics. Learning basic and advanced tricks on small features and basic tricks on medium and large features. Advanced Release Required. 


Terrain Park Lessons:

Offered on most weekends and Holidays, for our more advanced skiers/riders we offer Terrain Park lessons. We'll cover the basics to learning more advanced tricks, with a focus on park etiquette and safety.

Please inquire at the Big Dipper, 15 minutes prior to meeting times, for availability and to sign into the group. Kids going into these advanced classes are required to wear helmets.


For kids with special needs, Mount Snow offers adaptive lessons.

Checking In

Checking In:

Save time by completing our Clinic Registration Form at home and bringing it with you on your first day!

Mountain Camp registration/check-in and ticket pick up is located in the lower level of the Discovery Center.

Registration/check-in begins at 7:30am on Saturday, Sunday and Holidays and 8:30am Monday - Friday non-holiday weeks.

At the time of registration, you will be required to fill out a registration form for your child with medical and emergency information. This will be kept on file for the season. Placing your cell phone (or emergency) numbers in your child's pocket is an excellent way for them to give this information to us if the need arises.

Allow extra time to complete forms, pick up lift and lesson tickets, try on rentals and get your child settled. Busy weekends and holidays can be hectic. Avoid lines by arriving early!

Children are placed in groups at 9:15am for lessons starting at 9:30 at the Big Dipper Building. Children are placed into groups at 1:15pm for afternoon lessons starting at 1:30pm. Please be on time, late arrivals will miss their lesson!

Cancelling Reservations

Advanced Reservation Cancellation Policy: All reservations must be canceled or changed at least 48 hours before the scheduled day of a lesson. All reservations are eligible for an item voucher good until 4/30/2020, or a refund minus a processing fee of $30.00 per item with 48 hours advanced notice. Missed lessons, “No-Shows”, and Cancellations made after a lesson start are not eligible for a credit voucher or a refund. Cancellations can be made by going to www.mountsnow.com/ski-ride/lesson-cancellation/ or by calling 802-889-4411.

Using Vouchers From Last Year

Using Vouchers From Last Year:

Vouchers may be used at any Ski School ticket locations. If the booking is made in person, the voucher may be applied to the cost of the lesson. If reserving by phone,(800) 889-4411, we take all payment in full at the time of booking. Once you present the voucher to a Ski School Ticket Agent on the day of the lesson, you will be refunded the full amount of the voucher. Refunds may take up to a week to process.
