Snowboard Comp 1.5 - 1.6.19
Wednesday, January 2, 2019
Thanks for an awesome 5 Days of training! Even though it was crazy busy and the weather was iffy, I feel we still managed to have fun and get a lot accomplished. We are running training this week as well. Email Nancy at NLogan@MountSnow.com to sign up ASAP. 1hr delayed start for normal midweek training, 9:15 – 3:30.
Only one weekend left before comp season! Cody and Leon’s groups will be competing both days at Stratton next weekend 1/12 and 1/13 for Boardercross. Paul’s group will be attending as well on Sunday 1/13 to get their first competitive experience in the USASA southern Vermont series. Please make sure your athlete is signed up if they are in these groups. If you’re concerned that your athlete is not ready then talk with your athletes coach about it at line up in the morning this weekend. Any athlete in these groups that would like to attend ADD ON BX training at Stratton next Friday 1/11 please notify us immediately so that we can let Stratton know how many of us will be there. They should have discounted lift tickets for the USASA athletes on that day but I have not confirmed that.
Thursday – Slopestyle Training, Tactics for Halfpipe, Jib Train
Friday – Slopestyle Training, FUNdamentals, Game of SHRED
Saturday – Event Training, Tactics for Halfpipe, Jib Train
Sunday – Event Training, SWITCH it up, Team Shred
SL and GS
In two weeks the first GS & SL day is Friday 1/18 at Bromley. I have 3 athletes who will be attending this as of now. I personally will be at this event so if anyone else is interested please contact me immediately. The first Halfpipe event of the season is the next day, Saturday 1/19. Cody and Leon’s Groups will be attending. Being that we haven’t got to train in halfpipe yet, I’d also like to run a training group at Okemo that Friday 1/18 for those athletes (in Cody or Leon’s group) not competing in GS & SL. If you’re interested in either of these please contact Nancy and I ASAP.
I’m excited for another fun weekend! The guns have been on and the snow is back to being amazing as usual!
