Tough Mudder Returns in 2017 for its Seventh Year

Wednesday, July 20, 2016

We’re happy to announce that Mount Snow will once again host Tough Mudder New England on June 24-25, 2017. As with the last seven years, Mudders be tested over the course of ten miles of Mount Snow’s terrain, where they will have to contend with obstacles featuring mud, ice-cold water, barbed wire, electric shocks and other challenges.

We couldn’t be happier to announce that our mountain will once again play host to Tough Mudder New England on June 24-25, 2017. We’ve been working with the Tough Mudder organization since 2010, and over the course of the eight events we’ve hosted it’s been great to watch them grow, from a few runs a year, to a global organization that will put on more than 100 events in 2016.

For 2017, Mudders will again be tested by ten miles of Mount Snow’s varied and steep terrain, and will contend with obstacles that feature mud, ice-cold water, barbed wire, electric shocks and other challenges that the Tough Mudder design team has dreamt up over the years.

Personally, I’m especially excited about this event – not only because I love watching the competitors wipe out in the mud – but because it serves as our unofficial kick-off for a summer full of events at Mount Snow that feature: Blueberry Bash , our Annual Brewer’s Festival , The Vermont Wine & Harvest Festival , and of course Oktoberfest complete with its Gulp and Gallop 5K .

In celebration of this, I took the time to reflect on the past seven years and pull out some of my personal favorite images from Tough Mudder New England (as seen below). Got any favorite memories, photos or videos? If so, share them below, or email them to me at , and we’ll feature the best ones in our next Throwback Thursday post on our social feeds.

Until then, stay muddy my friends…
