Mount Snow Minute #5: Snowmaking Continues

Wednesday, December 12, 2018

A long stretch of cold temps make for very happy snowmakers.

Mother Nature has gifted us with a long stretch of cold temps and you better believe that we are taking advantage of every second. Our snowmakers have been cranking away for the past ten days, build bases and expanding terrain, including into the Sunbrook area. We'll be skiing and riding on all four mountain faces before you know it!

Over in Carinthia, our diggers haven't slowed down one bit. The Farm and The Gulch are expected to open this weekend with fresh builds and a slew of new features, helping to secure a spot as the largest park in North America! In addition, we've been making snow in The Superpipe, so it won't be long before we're sending it!

We also have a couple events on the lineup for this weekend, including discounted tickets for Founders Day , December 14. Make sure to get those online in advance for $29, as lift tickets at the window for that day will be $49.

Demo Day is scheduled for this Saturday, so come on out and try this year's newest skis for free! All you need is a driver's license and credit card, and then you can demo as many skis as your heart desires. You can sample different styles from industry-leading brands such as K2, Rossignol, Head, Blizzard, Nordica, Volkl, and more.

This weekend at the Snow Barn features DJ Joe Bell on Friday with hip hop, electronic, and pop hits. For Saturday, the Mike Cusato Band will headline the night, and tickets are available online in advance for $10.

Overall, it's shaping up to be a fantastic weekend to be here. And don't forget, Drifter Pass prices increase Monday, December 17, so pick one up today and use it this weekend, and all the days following!

See you on the slopes!
