Snowmaking returns to resurface before a Presidents Week filled with events.

With so many events and activities on the schedule for Presidents Week, we’ve got a lot to talk about. But first, the question that is burning in everyone’s minds…are we making snow? And the answer is, yes.

After a little set back from Mother Nature, our team of snowmakers are ready to make it right again. They plan to fire up the guns on Friday as soon as temps allow, in order to resurface for great skiing conditions this weekend. It’s incredible what this team can do in just a short amount of time, so don’t fret, and get ready to rip.

As for events, there’s more on the schedule than I can attempt to list here, so make sure to check out our Presidents Week Winterfest itinerary, and book your ski and stay vacation while there is still time to save. Of course, all your favorite events are back, starting with one of our five course beer pairing dinners, this time hosted by Stone Corral. Then, we have our Grommet Jam Finals on Monday, followed by a magic show with Mr. Twisty at the Snow Barn on Tuesday. On Wednesday, head into Mount Snow Sports for a Wine and Cheese Party , and our Torchlight Parade and Fireworks will kick off immediately after.

They’ll be no shortage of live music either, with concerts at the Snow Barn all weekend long. Catch DJ Bay 6 on Friday, or the high energy, Vermont funk band, Gang of Thieves who will be performing on Saturday. Rounding out the weekend will be Rice: An American Band, with a show featuring both original hits and popular covers from favorites such as Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac.

As of now, the forecast for this weekend is looking incredibly sunny with comfortable temps, so it will be a great time to get out there and work on those goggle tans. The last few days here have been nothing but bluebird skies, and I can’t tell you how great it feels to get a little Vitamin D while on the slopes.

We’ve got a lot to look forward to this Presidents Week, so don’t miss out!
