Let's Get This Started!

At long last, opening day is soon at hand!

Even before we picked up our first few snowfalls of the season back in October, we've been getting ready for winter. It took some work, but I finally dug out my hat, gloves, and shovel (just in time for 6” on October 28!) and on the mountain, we've begun making snow on The North Face, The Main Face, and Carinthia in preparation for opening day. Our winter staff are continuing to return to the valley and there’s an excited buzz in the air.

I'm knocking on wood, snow dancing, and doing everything I can to not jinx it, but the forecast looks GOOD. Right now, multiple weather sources say we'll pick up some natural snow in the coming week and see some favorable snowmaking temps, so you can bet our team is ready to continue making snow in preparation for the season. We’re currently on track for an opening day of Thursday, November 24, and with snow forecasted for that morning, we should have plenty to be thankful for.

For more information check out our daily Snow Report, and for up to the minute updates subscribe to our daily emails and follow us on facebook and Twitter.

Until then, make sure you are ready to go for opening day by purchasing a ticket in advance or getting your season pass mailed directly to your house

See you on the slopes!
