Fresh Snow For The New Year
Thursday, December 29, 2016
It really is remarkable how night and day different last season was compared to this season. First off, we’re about to officially surpass last season's overall snow total and it's only December 29. The start of the season was really kind to us, allowing us to open early for the season, drop ropes on terrain faster than usual, and over at Carinthia install more and more features making us the largest terrain park in the East!
This has all been possible through a collaboration between our diligent snowmaking team and Ma Nature blessing us with several larger storms and consistent weekly snowfall. Looking into the forecast for the start of 2017 this great partnership looks to continue into the New Year!
Speaking of New Year’s, if you’re planning on joining us we’ve got a full rundown of events for all ages in my recent blog post, New Year’s at Mount Snow . My plan is looking like a day of skiing, followed by the torchlight parade and fireworks , a stop at Cuzzins which by the way was just voted the #1 après bar in North America by USA Today, and then heading over to the Honey Crisp show at Snow Barn .
As for resolutions, I think I’m going to try something new this year and give tele-skiing a go. What about you?
See you out there!
