Mount Snow Minute #7: NYE Events
Tuesday, December 25, 2018
Well, now that Santa has come and gone, it’s time to hit the slopes! Hopefully you got some new gear under your tree that you’re itching to test out.
On the hill, our snowmakers have saved the day once again, as they just finished 36 hours of resurfacing, which saw fresh snow on 25 trails. Just 3 days of aggressive snowmaking has transformed the mountain, and the result is a true testament to what the most powerful snowmaking system in the Northeast can actually do.
For the holiday week, we have a schedule packed with family-friendly events, including Mr. Twisty at the Snow Barn on Friday, where he will be putting on a free magic act that will keep you and your family laughing. Then, on Monday we have our Torchlight Parade and Fireworks to kick off a night of NYE celebrations. You can keep the party going at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel Family Dinner Party, which is followed by a dance party that will last until midnight!
In addition, tubing is open all week through December 31 from 10:00am – 6:00pm, and it’s the perfect activity for all ages and abilities to get outside and enjoy the snow.
As for live music, the Snow Barn will have four back-to-back nights of talented performers, kicking off with lespecial on Friday night, followed by Gang of Thieves with The Balkun Brothers on Saturday, and Lee Ross on Sunday. New Year’s Eve will feature Hayley Jane & The Primates, with tickets available online for $30. That show has a history of selling out, so make sure to get your tickets in advance to secure a spot.
That's all for now...see you on the slopes!
