Mount Snow Minute #11: Powder Day

Wednesday, January 23, 2019

After a weekend with 14" of fresh snow and ropes dropping, it's been a fun week!

After Mother Nature dropped 14" of powder for us this past weekend, the mountain is looking as beautiful as ever. On Sunday, we enjoyed some deep turns out there and boy, was it a good time!

With nearly every trail open and a very strong base, we're not worried about the precipitation headed our way for Thursday. Temperatures will be dropping back below freezing on Friday, so you better believe our snowmakers will be firing up the most powerful snowmaking system in the Northeast to resurface as fast as possible. All your favorite trails are on the list to be resurfaced including Long John, Cascade, Canyon, Lodge, Ridge, Snowdance, Freefall, and more.

On Thursday, we have another Backside Night at the Snow Barn, where you can win some incredible prizes, such as a pair of skis, a snowboard, or a variety of Mount Snow and Carinthia swag. Not only are raffle tickets just $1, but all the proceeds go to the Adaptive Sports Program at Mount Snow. In addition, there will be ski movies and pizza to enjoy, so what else could you ask for?

If you're looking to make a midweek trip, be sure to check out our Snow Lake Lodge Getaway, which starts at just $79. This package includes a lift ticket, one night's lodging at Snow Lake, and breakfast in the morning so you can head straight to the slopes.

If you're joining us this weekend, think about picking your lift tickets and rentals up at The Cupola as part of Midnight Express. The Cupola is located on Route 100 just a 1/2 mile down the road from Mount Snow and stays open until midnight on Fridays! Get everything ready the night before so you can get out on the mountain early Saturday morning without the hassle.

See you out there!
