Mount Snow Minute #3: Founders Day, Brewery Collabs, and More

Wednesday, December 6, 2017

Kelsey checks in about this weekend's events, our snowmaking plan, and more in this week's Mount Snow Minute

It’s been another great week here at the mountain, and even though we had a bit of an unfrozen precipitation event, I’m looking on the sunny-side (pun intended) as West Lake is refilled and our snowmakers are ready to get back at it once temperatures drop later on today.

Throughout the week and into the weekend we’re going to be making snow in record amounts as part of a campaign to both resurface existing terrain, as well as expand and open more terrain in preparation for the holiday season. For more information on trail openings and expansion, keep an eye on our snow report .

Also this weekend, we’ve got two great events for beer lovers in honor of this year’s collaboration brew with Foolproof Brewing, affectionately know as Yahd Sale. It all starts with a five-course beer pairing dinner on Friday night, featuring expertly crafted dishes paired with a variety of beers from the gang over at Foolproof. Then on Saturday, Foolproof Brewing is taking over Station Tap Room for the Foolproof Tap Takeover so come on out and see what these guys have been up to down in Rhode Island.

If it’s live music you’re craving, we’re going to start things off on the 8 th with Yuri C’s First Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party at The Snow Barn, followed the next night by The Edd, with special guest Swimmer . Speaking of live music, have you locked down your tickets for Minus Zero Fest yet? If not, the longer you wait, the more you’re going to have to pay. So buy early and save at .

After the weekend, we suggest you start planning your mid-week “illness” early because you’ll be wanting to call in sick on the 12 th to take advantage of $12 tickets in honor of our Founders Day. If you’re planning on being here though be sure and purchase tickets ahead of time because deals this good are only for those who purchase online in advance .

See you on the slopes!
