Mount Snow Minute #2: Snowmaking, Trails, & Nitro!
Tuesday, November 28, 2017
It’s been another amazing week here at the home of the most open terrain in the East! This has indeed been a November to remember, as we have seen terrain and trails opening faster than ever before, thanks to our new snowmaking system.
But it’s not just the system. None of this would be possible if it weren’t for our dedicated team of snowmakers and groomers, who have done an incredible job over the last few weeks of opening, expanding, and resurfacing trails, so that we can enjoy quality skiing and riding each and every day.
At last count, we are up 20 trails, including one terrain park over in Carinthia boasting 21 features. But we wouldn’t be the number one ranked park in the East if we just left it at that. So, this week our crew of Carinthia Diggers have been busy shaping jumps and setting features in Nitro, in preparation for it opening for the season on Friday morning.
With all there is to celebrate, it’s time for some après, and you know we’ve got you covered for that. The Station Tap Room is back open for the season slinging those hard to find craft brews that Vermont is so famous for, including new collaborations specially brewed for Mount Snow by the guys over at Harpoon and Foolproof Brewing.
If you’re looking for music, I’ve got three words for you: Bruce is back! That’s right, Bruce is back in action at Cuzzins, and if his first two shows of the season were any indication, we’re in for a wild ride this year. Over at the Snow Barn, we have got an amazing lineup for you each and every weekend from now through Minus Zero Festival in April.
There’s really too much to list it all here, so head on over to mountsnow.com/events for a full list of events and happenings on and around the mountain.
See you on the slopes!
