We love seeing the photos you all post and tag us in, and make it a daily habit of checking out all the new adventures and memories made by all of our fans. While there is no shortage of great photos, some make us stop in our tracks and want to learn more.

One such photo was this:

While I could have written a recount of an event I wasn’t actually there to witness, I figured I’d leave it to the guy who was down on one knee, Mike Soroko.

Take it away Mike!

“Nicole and I have been dating for three years now. She grew up in Connecticut, while I was born and raised in New Jersey. She took me skiing for the first time two years ago, but we weren't able to find time to back up on the slopes last year, as her mom was very sick with colon cancer, but we knew we had to get back up there.

Neither of us had ever been to Mount Snow before, but Nicole's best friend’s family friend has the house on the mountain, so the six of us, including two of Nicole’s best friends from college planned this trip as a remembrance of the one-year anniversary of her mom's passing (January 22, 2016).

I wanted to propose around her mom's anniversary, and from all the pictures knew Mount Snow would be an absolutely beautiful place to do this. I arranged for her sister and brother-in-law and nephew and cousins (photographer) to be there, and for it all to go down Saturday at noon.

While she had picked out a ring she wanted, she was under the impression that someone else had bought it out from under me. As we went up the lift for the final time before we skied down she asked me about buying our own house on the mountain in the future. Little did she know the connection we would always have to Mount Snow after today.

To make a long story short, we came down long John to Seasons Pass and I went ahead of her to meet her friend where she handed me my dog and ring, and then I got down on one knee and proposed. She was completely caught by surprise and was soon overjoyed when everyone came outside to surprise her and help us celebrate. I was lost for words and am still shocked by the moment. It was amazing. And we will definitely be back.”

Well Mike, thanks for sharing that amazing story with us! Looking forward to seeing you and Nicole around the mountain for many more years to come! Does this mean we’re invited to the wedding?

One more shot that was too good not to include, congrats you two!
