Kicking off Blueberry Bash 2016

Monday, July 25, 2016

This summer, we’re kicking off The First Annual Blueberry Bash, on Saturday, August 6, 2016 from 12pm to 5pm. Designed as an ode to the weekend warrior in all of us, the afternoon will feature a wide array of backyard games, capped off by a competitive blueberry-themed eating contest, with prizes including a 2016/17 Peak Pass!

Each spring, our events team sits down to put some of the final touches on the summer full of events that Mount Snow has become famous for over the years. At this year’s meeting, we were reminiscing about all the great games – both planned and spontaneous – that end up popping up around events like Brewers Festival and Oktoberfest, which got us thinking about how great it would be to have an event devoted to the weekend pursuits we all know and love, and thus, Blueberry Bash was born.

The Bash – which coincides with the Deerfield Valley Blueberry Festival – will consist of a mix of programmed and free-form backyard favorites including: water balloon toss, tug of war, volleyball, Spikeball, horseshoes and many more games and activities, along with live music. Food from Reuben’s Smokehouse and BBQ, as well as beer and refreshments from around Vermont will be served throughout the afternoon to keep us all fed and fueled.

We like to think of this as a practice round for Brewers Fest, where you can shake the rust off, and perfect that horseshoe toss after a few ice cold beverages, in preparation for the big leagues on Labor Day Weekend.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any better…admission is FREE!
