We're Opening Early!

Tuesday, November 22, 2016

See you out there tomorrow morning!

After last year, I couldn’t be happier to be the one to announce that with a little help from Mother Nature in the way of 5” in the past 24 hours and 12” in the past 48, paired with the phenomenal effort our snowmaking team has put in that we are all set to open early for the season tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.

Currently our snowmakers are focusing their efforts on Long John, Cascade, Canyon, Deer Run, and The Gulch, and have completed opening snowmaking operations on Launch Pad and are moving over to Free Fall on The North Face. With favorable temps forecasted to stick around, and 160+ guns firing away, the guys should continue to make progress laying down a great base right up to and through opening day.

Speaking of opening day, we will be handing out prizes and giveaways to the first 50 people in line for the Bluebird Express tomorrow morning, with special items reserved for the first 6-pack!

If you’re planning on sticking around and joining us for Thanksgiving, we’ve got a great lineup of events and activities including the winter opening of Station Tap Room on Wednesday, November 23 to help celebrate opening day with those hard to find beers that Vermont is famous for, from 2 p.m. until close. Join us Friday, November 25 for our annual Turkey Hangover Hillclimb fun race to the top of Yardsale (insider tip: bring Yaktrax, it’s going to be snowy), followed by the start of our winter concert series at Snow Barn. Then grab the family and join us for our first torchlight parade and fireworks complete with a visit from Santa on Saturday, November 26.
