Mount Snow Brewers Festival 2016

Tuesday, August 2, 2016

Tickets for The 22nd Annual Mount Snow Brewers Festival are on sale now, with 2016 shaping up to be a great year, featuring 100+ different beers and ciders from more than 50 breweries.

When an event celebrates its fifth anniversary, people take notice. When it surpasses the ten-year mark, it becomes a community staple. But once you get up over twenty years, you know you’re on to something really special, and with this being our Twenty-second Annual Mount Snow Brewers Festival, I can confidently say that we struck gold with this one.

While others have jumped on the brewfest bandwagon in the past few years, we’ve consistently drawn some of the best beers and ciders that Vermont, New England and the greater US and Canada have to offer, with 2016 slatedto have 100+ different beers and ciders from more than 50 breweries. It’s this proven history that was recognized recently by The Vermont Chamber of Commerce as one of their Top 10 Fall 2016 Events.

Brewers Festival 2016 will be held on Labor Day Weekend on Saturday Sept. 3rd - Sunday Sept. 4th, with Saturday morning kicking off with the always popular Hops for Hope 5K, with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society. All Hops for Hope participants will receive a t-shirt and pint glass as part of their entry, with a 2016/17 Peak Pass awarded to the top fundraiser! As for the rest of the weekend,  beers begin pouring at noon, and there will be plenty of BBQ and other food options from local venders, as well as a plethora of yard games and activities.

One change you’ll notice, is that this year you won’t be greeted with a long line to enter the venue. We are switching things up for 2016 in order to reduce wait times. This year everyone – even if you purchased a ticket online – will visit one of the ticket windows at either the Clocktower Building, or the Toll Haus, to obtain an entrance wristband. Once inside the venue, those interested in exploring the beer and cider selection can swing by one of our ID stations to get a second wristband. The hope is that this will streamline the entrance process for all.

While tickets are available the day of the event, the best savings can be found by purchasing online, with additional savings for those attending both days.  Admission for drinkers will include a souvenir glass and two beer tokens per day, with non-drinkers receiving a souvenir water bottle and one free soda per day.
