Freestyle Comp 1.13-1.15.18

Hello Freestyle Family!

Even with sub-zero temps – we had some great training last weekend.  The park crew put up a training jump for us and the Freestyle Comp, Freestyle Devo, and Snowboard Comp teams all stayed warm by hiking the jump to session it together.  It was cool to see all the groups and coaches cheering each other on.

It looks like this weekend is going to be very special where we might get to experience weather from all 4 seasons in 3 days!  We are going to have to play it by ear all weekend depending on the amount of rain, the timing of the freeze, and the mountain’s focus on the order of trails for resurfacing.  As a reminder the Comp Program has training on Monday, MLK Day.

Freestyle Team Hoodie order:  Colleen Heikka has volunteered to organize our hoodie/apparel order this year.  Here is the Google Doc with the info

Upcoming events:  Our Freeride team has a USASA Rail Jam event at Stratton.  All Freeride athletes should be competing in this event.  The event still has space so if you haven’t registered, there is still time.  If you can’t make the event this weekend, we will still have training at Mount Snow on Sunday.  Also, our 12 and under athletes can compete in the Mount Snow Grommet Jam.  This event is not sanctioned and is hosted by the Mount Snow Events crew.  Many of our athletes compete in this fun event.
