Hi Freestyle Family,
Another great weekend is in the books and I’ve heard the good news that the mountain got snow this week. This weekend should be awesome.
This weekend 1/21 & 1/22:
- The B Mogul team is at Stratton
- The A Mogul team is at Sunday River
- Freeride team is training at Mount Snow
New weekend 1/28 and 1/29 is a big weekend:
- The Freeride team is at Mount Snow for the first USASA Slopestyle event
- The A Mogul team is at Killington
The USASA Slopestyle event next weekend 1/28 and 1/29: All of our slopestyle athletes should be registered for this USASA event. In the past registration has closed early, so if you have not registered, please do so. Registration is found here: https://www.usasa.org/index.php/regions/new-england/southern-vermont
New Training Venues: We are thrilled that the park crew is moving our training jump! The new location is penciled in for skier’s right of Mine Shaft. It may be ready to rock and roll this week. Also we are putting in a bump course on Lower Exhibition, parallel to Charlie’s Chase for us and other mountain programs to utilize. We may need some help skiing in the lines on Saturday. At a steady 23 degrees in pitch for 250 meters, this is going to be an incredible bump course to train on (and recruit more bump skiers). We still have it in the plans to put the full course on Beartrap, but the whales over there still need some time to drain.
Drive safely and we’ll see you on Saturday morning.
