Alpine Comp 12.14-12.15.19

Wednesday, December 11, 2019

Hello Alpine team,

What a great opening weekend to explore and get to know all of you.  Programs will now run from 8:00-2:30 for the rest of the winter. Let's all do our snow and cold dances so we can get the snow guns up and running for the weekend!

We are going to keep our focus on being balanced over our skis and not letting them get out from under us.  Also we all need to be better at pole plants every turn aimed down the mountain.  Speaking of great balance and moving down the mountain -  Congrats to Tommy Ford for winning the Birds of Prey GS  You can really see Tommy move each turn to keep his ankles bent and the energy to stay in the skis!

This Saturday Alpine Team meeting at 3:30 in the MSSC lunch room.  I will say a few things and then we will break up into our age groups U10, 12,14,16/19.  Then we will have some food at 4:30 provided by Mount Snow Ski Club. We are so fortunate to have such great support and this building to operate out of, so please make sure we all thank Ariel and Jen Varrone for putting this on.
