Mount Snow Announces Sunday, April 14, 2019, For Closing Date

Mount Snow, VT – April 10, 2019 – Mount Snow today announced that its official closing date of the 2018/2019 season will be Sunday, April 14, 2019, marking the end of another great season of skiing and riding in the Green Mountains of Vermont. The resort will be open Friday, April 12, 2019, through Sunday, April 14, 2019, ending winter operations with its annual Golden Egg Hunt held on Sunday.

Marking its earliest opening date in history on October 27, 2018, the 2018/2019 season started strong. Mount Snow's team combined natural snowfall with a showcase of the resort's new snowmaking system, the most powerful in the Northeast, to allow for rapid terrain expansion and early park builds at Carinthia Parks that kicked off the season with a bang for passholders. The $30M in snowmaking upgrades that Mount Snow completed at the start of the previous season continued to prove itself throughout the season, ensuring good conditions and rapid bounce back and resurfacing when needed.

"I'd like to thank everyone who made this yet another amazing season here at Mount Snow," said Erik Barnes, Vice President and General Manager of Mount Snow. "From our guests who journeyed from near and far weekend after weekend and storm after storm, to the incredible staff who were there each and every morning, and long into the night, to ensure we delivered the world-class experience folks have come to expect at Mount Snow, we couldn't have done it without you. I look forward to seeing many of you this summer at our exciting on-mountain events or out on the golf course and welcoming all of you back to the hill next winter when the snow begins to fly once again."

Building on a rich history of on- and off-mountain events, the 2018/2019 season was no exception at Mount Snow, which offered guests its largest winter event lineup to date. The season featured mainstays like the Bud Light Reggaefest and Torchlight Parade and Fireworks, as well as new events including Ash & Steel and the Carinthia Classic at Carinthia Parks. An exciting events schedule will continue into the summer and fall with details available at

Free skiing and riding is available this weekend to those purchasing or renewing their Peak Passes for the 2019/2020 season, along with Mount Snow's sister resort Wildcat, which is currently 100 percent open and preparing to continue operations into May.
