Year Round Opportunities

Controller: The Mount Snow Controller is responsible for the company's financial plans and policies, accounting practices, fiscal records maintenance and preparation of financial reports. The position is also responsible for the leadership and development of the staff and/or teams of the various functions that report to him/her. The Controller provides consultation, analysis and training to the General Manager, senior leadership, management and staff. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or other appropriate descipline, CPA or MBA desirable, plus four to six years of relevant technical and managerial experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Requires the knowledge of and compliance to ethical, regulated and accepted business and accounting practices. Requires directly relevant experience in translating goals for management controls into workable operating procedures and reporting systems. Requires excellent planning, organizational, administrative, personnel and budget management skills. Ski resort experience a plus.

Seasonal Lodging Opportunities

Health Club Desk Attendant: Assist guests at the Grand Summit fitness center and naturespa. Maintain a clean work environment. Answer phones, book appointments, hand out towels, etc. Excellent guest service skills required. Prior experience preferred. Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook computer programs. Knowledge of Springer Miller preferred. Weekends and holidays a must.

Seasonal Mountain Operations Opportunites

Lift Operations Supervisor: The Mount Snow Lift Operations Department is looking for a full time seasonal Lift Operations Supervisor. The desired candidate will have 3-5 years of lift operations experience as well as an ability to lead and manage staff. Duties include: Hiring staff, prepare and implement lift staff training, payroll, scheduling, discipline, performance reviews, managing within a budget, help to ensure that all lift staff are delivering superior service at all times. Supervise and assist with on time lift opening/closings, operator transport, lift/ramp preparation. Coordinate daily work assignments for 30+ staff members at 7-9 different lift locations. Quickly resolve guest/employee issues, including lift breakdowns and other operations issues. Responsible for accurate record keeping pertaining to all operational log sheets.Please submit an application as well as a resume and cover letter.

Lift Operator: Looking for folks who want to be part of a hard working mountain operations team for the 2010/2011 season. Lift operators are early risers (6am-7:30am start times) and can be found working in some of the most extreme weather conditions that mother nature can throw our way! Your responsibilities include piloting a multi million dollar piece of machinery, while constantly providing superior guest service and safety for all. The Mount Snow Lift Operations Team provides professional lift training classes. Resort Rentals Staff: Resort Rentals Staff - Work where you play. We are searching for mechanically inclined individuals with great guest service skills to round out our rental shop staff for this coming season. Previous rental experience is not necessary. Resort Rentals Supervisor: Resort Rentals Supervisor – Manage the day to day operations for 2 ski and snowboard rental shops. Schedule staff, oversee maintenance of equipment and tools, provide excellent guest service and lead your staff by example. A professional appearance and a good working knowledge of ms-excel and ms-word is a must, as well as being available to work on weekends and holidays during the winter season. Seasonal Retail Opportunities

Boot Fitter: Mount Snow Bootworks is looking for full time and part time boot fitters at their Mount Snow Sports location in the Main Base Lodge. Previous experience in a retail ski shop and/or boot fitting a plus. Job will include selling new ski boots, fitting and adjusting existing customer's boots, making custom insoles, and stance alignment. A ski coach or teaching background and/or basic anatomy knowledge will be helpful. Applicant should be motivated, have an upbeat attitude and have a desire to learn. Weekends and holidays are a must.

Seasonal Child Care Opportunities

Cook: Prepare and serve morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack. Must be at least 18 years of age, have experience cooking and enjoy working with children. Weekends and holidays required. Position to start in November.

Front Desk Staff: Full and Part time positions available at our front desk for Child Care. You will help in making the transition for the parents and children to our program as smooth as possible! Good computer skills, organizational and people skills required. Experience working with young children also desired. Positions to start in November.

Cub Camp Supervisor: Plan and facilitate Mount Snow's three year old ski program. Develope a fun program to get kids excited about skiing! Supervise 10-15 Cub Camp staff members, coordinate ski groups and on-hill activities as well as create curriculum for inside play. Planning and scheduling of various group activities involving singing dancing, reading, arts and crafts, assist with opening/closing procedures, signing in children and confer with parents to explain center services, schedules, rates, and policies. Qualifications include Bachelor's/Associate's degree in Early Childhood or Human/Child Development and two years successful experience relative to population, or a Bachelor's degree and four courses successfully completed in Early Childhood related topics and three years of succesful experience relative to population. Supervisory experience preferred.

Cub Camp Staff: Interested in teaching children how to ski? Our Cub Camp program for three-year olds combines teaching the basics of skiing with fun and play. Positions available include Cub Camp supervisor, instructors and aides. Qualifications: Instructors must be at least 18 years of age, and must complete one class in Early Childhood Education within one year of employment. Aides must be at least 16 years of age. Please see the below description for Cub Camp supervisor qualifications. Enthusiasm for children and snow sports required. Must be willing to work both inside our classrooms and outside on the hill. Positions start in November, and all positions require weekends and holidays.

Child Care Head Teachers: Strong Organization and supervision of the daily operations of assigned group of children, including indoor and outdoor activities. Planning and scheduling of various group activities involving singing dancing, reading, arts and crafts, assist with opening/closing procedures, signing in children and confer with parents to explain center services, schedules, rates, and policies. Qualifications for head teacher: CDA, or AS in Early Childhood or Human/Child Development, or one (1) year of successful experience working with young children and one (1) higher education course successfully completed in Early Childhood Education or Human/Child Development Positions start in November and all positions require weekends and holidays.

Child Care Staff: If you like working with kids and enjoy the mountains, you'll want to join our Child Care staff. We are looking for seasonal staff to work in our age specific classrooms that range from 6 weeks to 6 years. Teacher, assistant teacher and teachers aide positions available. Responsiblities include the assistance with and supervision of daily operations of assigned group of children, including indoor and outdoor activities, arts and crafts, singing, dancing, reading and assisting with opening/closing procedures and general maintenance of facility. Qualifications: Assistant teachers must be at least 18 years of age, and must complete one class in Early Childhood Education within one year of employment. Aides must be at least 16 years of age. Enthusiasm for children, experience working with children, general knowledge of childcare and the desire to learn more about early childhood education required for all positions. Marketing Intern: Marketing Intern Are you an Art / Graphic Design major, looking to get some experience working on a terrific brand in the Ski industry? Have the desire to bridge the gap between Print and Web? Got a couple days a week that you can be in West Dover, VT? Mount Snow is seeking an intern for the Marketing Department to assist the Lead Graphic Designer and Interactive Marketing Manager in daily duties including, but not limited to: • Performing web updates and assisting with building / editing of websites • Assisting in concepting, execution of ideas • Making edits to existing design layouts / ads • Versioning of creative concepts (resizing, repurposing) • Maintenance and organization of server • Image touchups, resizing, prep for web • Assisting in preparing files for print production • Assisting in general studio tasks (printing, cutting, mock ups, printer maintenance, etc) • Assisting in resort photography, social networking, etc. Required Skills: • Adobe Creative Suite (photoshop / illustrator / indesign) • High attention to detail & ability to follow direction • Work within existing guidelines and specifications for print and/or web Desired skills: (not essential, but would be nice) • Some html / css / web design or development experience (WordPress experience a plus) • Flash experience (CS4) • photography Timeframe: This internship is for the Fall semester, however may extend into the Winter season.
