The 2008/2009 Valley League Race Series is back and ready to roll.

Racing, Parties, & Prizes.. Grab some friends and make a team. After a very fun and successful 2007/2008 season we are back with a longer schedule and some added twists this year.

The 2008/2009 season is upon us and the Valley League is ready to challenge you on all levels of ski/snowboard racing. This year we're happy to announce that we'll have a beginning the December 3rd with a registration cocktail party at TC's and our first race will be December 10th stretching all the way through to the end of March for our King and Queen's featuring a BBQ at the bottom of Charlie's for lunch.

Racing will take place on Wednesday's from 10am - 2pm on Charlie's Chase, Ego Alley, and South Bowl!

Each competitor will be asked to take two runs between 10am and 2pm and their best time will be taken. Scoring will be weighted based on the amount of competitors with in that division (Men Ski, Female Ski, Male Snowboard, Female Snowboard). Competitors will be allowed to drop their two lowest point totals for the end of season party and Valley League King and Queen bracketed system.

This year we are proud to have Long Trail, Harpoon, Magic Hat, Orlio, Sam Adams, Jagermeister and Budweiser all on board as Beer Sponsors. Restaurants in the valley hosting parties include Dos Gringos, TC's Family Restaurant, the Dover Bar & Grill, the Silo, and the Lodge at Mount Snow, Cuzzins and The Snow Barn. Each week we'll video tape the race and have parties at each establishment featuring a highlight video from the day, awards, drinks, appetizers, and a bib raffle for all competitors.

Like last year at each party location we'll have our sponsored beer on tap as well as representatives from the breweries/sponsors. This year each competitor will get one drink token good for a $1 sponsored drink at that location and each bar will have some goodies available.

We are happy to announce that Head, Dakine, Giro, Smith, and a few others have joined our long list of sponsors and we'll be adding gift certificates to local establishments to our list of prizes.

Fees:
$100 per person for the season season
$75 per Mount Snow employee for the season
Non-season passholders can purchase a discounted Valley League lift ticket valid for Wednesday at $45.

Races:
Each competitor will be asked to take two runs between 10am and 2pm. Best time will be taken.

Teams:
10 person maximum per team, 5 person minimum.
There are no mandatory # of skiers or snowboarders or gender specific needs again this season.
Don't have a team, come to the TC's Reg party and be put in the free agent pool.
Teams must be finalized by the third race of the season.

Scoring:
Scoring will be weighted based on the amount of competitors with in that division
(Men Ski, Female Ski, Male Snowboard, Female Snowboard).
Competitors will be allowed to drop their two lowest point totals for the Valley League King and Queen bracketed system.
Each week the top four scorers from each team will contribute to the team total for the end of season Team Trophy.

Prizes & Awards:
Each week we'll reckognize those who win from each division at our apres parties and we will have a huge bib raffle for prizes from our beer/liquor sponsors, product/equipment sponsors, as well as restaurants and valley businesses. At the end of the season awards banquet a huge bib raffle will take place for skis, snowboards, boots, bindings, helmets, and other top level prizes from our sponsors.

1/14 Old School GS: Break out your best 70's/80's attire, uni-suits, and neon for prizes
3/4 Mustashe GS: Race with a unique mustache, real or fake - win cool stuff.
