MEET ZAIRA DE ALBUQUERQUE

Zaira and two other friends heard about Mount Snow through a recruiting program in Brazil. Although there were many resorts and companies to choose from, they decided to come to Mount Snow because of its size and its proximity to larger cities on the East Coast. Shortly after making this decision they met some former Mount Snow employees who confirmed that Mount Snow was the perfect place to gain experience traveling, meet new people from all over the world and learn about different cultures.

Hometown: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Current Job at Mount Snow: When Zaira first arrived at Mount Snow she was assigned to be a Prep Cook for our Carinthia Cafeteria.  During the course of the season she also worked as a cook in Marketplace and as a Hostess for Harriman’s restaurant. 

Favorite Perk/Benefit: The Family Atmosphere and seeing familiar faces.

Skier or Snowboarder: Zaira, who was never exposed to temperatures below 65º F before coming to Mount Snow, took lessons to learn how to ski. 

Favorite After Ski-Activity: Shopping in Manchester. Zaira has also had the opportunity to visit Bennington, New Hampshire, Boston and New York City while working at Mount Snow.   

Favorite Après Ski Venue: The Snow Barn.
