Downhill cancelled - September 26, 2008

The SoBe Energy Downhill Series presented by e.thirteen finals scheduled for this weekend have been postponed to October 18 - 19, 2008. The forecast is calling for substantial rain with a flood watch in effect through Sunday. We feel that it is best for the racers and the mountain to postpone the event. The Canyon Express lift will only be open to registered riders during the above hours on October 18 - 19.

Dual Slalom cancelled - September 22, 2008

Due to some regrading and construction done at the bottom of the Dual Slalom course, the dual race scheduled for Saturday night in conjuction with this weekend’s SoBe Energy Downhill Series Finals has been cancelled. This will allow us to concentrate fully on finishing up our DH Series strong on Sunday. As always registration and practice is open from 9am - 4pm Saturday and then practice only 9am - 10:45am Sunday with racing commencing at 11am.

Everyone is invited to the end of season awards party on Cuzzins Deck featuring free pizza, drink and huge big raffle. For our final race of the 2008 season we will be awarding individual race awards as well as the overall series champions. Series champions will receive a huge shwag bag along with a SoBe Energy Hoodie and a Series Champion Trophy. Our bib raffle will be bigger than ever before with tons of prizes from our sponsors we've been holding back on…

SEDH #1 Results Posted - June 3, 2008

SoBe Enegy Downhill Series presented by e.thirteen Race #1 results are posted in the results tab. Saturday proved to be a rain soaked practice day but not a complete wash out as only one rumble of thunder rolled through mid-day. Sunday brought cooler temps, mostly cloudy and windy conditions but the wind kept the bugs away and we'll take cold and wind over muggy and buggy anyday of the week. 194 riders descended the lower half of the Pro DH course of this year's USA Cycling National Championship Course. Congratulations to those who took home top podium spots and points for the Gravity East Series. Our point structure will follow the GES series and those points will be posted in the next few days.

BBQ Misinformation - June 2, 2008

Sorry for the miscomunication on the BBQ scheduled for Saturday's event. We had planned on having a fun evening event but the iffy weather and the lack of our big tent up yet determined that it would be a bad idea. We will have a big end of season BBQ at our last weekend in September. Again our apologies we hope you didn't go hungry. :)

Dual Slalom - June 2, 2008

The 2008 SoBe Energy Dual Slalom Venue will be built in the next few weeks for our first DS of the season on the 21st. The course this year will be longer than last year starting a bit higher up and finishing a little further down. Anyone interested in coming out to help with the build and the fine tuning of the course the week before the event please feel free to drop me an email at gfisher@mountsnow.com. Those volunteering their time will receive discounts on future DH/DS events and some shwag from our sponsors.

Mad March Racing coming this weekend - May 27, 2008

Mount Snow is pleased to host the 2nd points race for the Gravity East Series. Mad March Racing and Shaums March is on board this year with the Gravity East Series. Saturday, May 31st, MMR will be out conducting a fun, informative race clinic for those interested. For the 2008 Gravity East Series, coaches from Mad March Racing will be at every venue offering riding skills clinics conducted on the race courses of the venue.

Depending on the abilities of you or your group we can focus on: Cornering, reading the terrain, line choice, balance, drops, basic jumping, bike set up and more… These camps will leave you riding better and with more confidence.
