A four-piece band, The Joshua Tree have gone to great lengths to reproduce the unique sound of the world's most popular rock band, U2. Given that they are fans of U2, the band sought to provide a way for other fans to hear and appreciate the music of U2 in an intimate setting without having to pay high-ticket prices.

Taj Weekes & Adowa present a brand new experience in classic roots reggae. With wry trenchant lyrics, a haunting dusky quiver in his voice and Adowa's knock-down sound, Taj has managed to weave a rare social consciousness with an unforgettable reggae groove. Hailing from the Caribbean island of St. Lucia, the group's founder, singer/songwriter Taj Weekes has been noted as "raising the level of songwriting within the idiom of reggae music" by veteran reggae music journalist Dermot Hussey. Accepted by reggae, dancehall, world music and college audiences alike, the group toured extensively throughout the United States in 2008, expanding their fan base and playing with reggae icons such as Gregory Issacs, Toots & the Maytals, Third World and Yellowman. Taj Weekes & Adowa have proven to be an exceptional band, presenting ‘classic roots reggae for the conscious mind’ to an international audience.

Since their arrival, The Big Takeover, a reggae/ska/roots band, has hit the ground running and never glanced back. September 2008 marked the release of their debut album, "Following Too Close," ( Big Takeover Productions). Furthering their upward trajectory, the sextet also opened for Bob Marley's former backup band, The Wailers, at the Chance in Poughkeepsie and Jefferson Starship at The Egg, in Albany . Formed in December 2007, The Big Takeover draws enthusiastic audiences with their lively shows and memorable performances. The band's sets include the perfect fusion of familiar reggae favorites and their own hypnotic, danceable rhythms. Helmed by lead singer Neenee Rushie, who originally hails from Jamaica , the band consists of bassist Rob Kissner, drummer Sam Tritto, guitarist Jon Klenk, trombonist Andy Vogt, and saxophonist Chas Montrose.

As a bi-product, this new digital age of music has created artists with more eclectic influences. One such band, One Jack Move, was created with full awareness of such a fact.
