NEW! A site dedicated to all things freestyle at Mount Snow: Jib Nation
Year after year, Mount Snow is ranked tops in the East when it comes to freestyle terrain. That’s no surprise. After all, Mount Snow opened the first terrain park in the East – Un Blanco Gulch – and we’ve been setting the standard ever since. With five terrain parks covering more than 40 acres, a superipipe and a tubing park, we’ve got something for everyone.
THE GUT SUPERPIPE Located at the base of Carinthia, The Gut is consistently rated as one of the top 10 pipes in the country. At 460-feet long and with 18-foot walls, it’s built to competition standards and hosts major pro and amateur competitions throughout the winter.
OUR PARKS
Un Blanco Gulch The East’s original terrain park expanded in Winter 2006-07, doubling its acreage to incorporate more of the boxes, rails, jumps and other features our crew can dream up. Located on the Main Mountain just off the Canyon trail, Un Blanco Gulch is easily accessible via the Canyon Express quad.
Grommet Grommet, our teaching park, is specially designed with mini versions of the same features found in our bigger parks. This is the place for sharpening your skills before moving on up to Un Blanco Gulch, so you can look like a pro when you get there. Grommet features rails, boxes, rollers, banked turns and mini tables over an acre of terrain. It’s located on Beaver Hill, right behind the Mount Snow Grand Summit Hotel.
Jiblet Our mini-rail park located directly in front of the Mount Snow Grand Summit Hotel is serviced by a covered magic carpet, and features light and a sound system for night-time shredding. We keep this open most weekends and holidays, and it’s included in the price of your daily lift ticket.
The Vermontster A new terrain park in our Carinthia area for Winter 2007-08. Located on what was previously the Fairway trail, the new park will be serviced by the Heavy Metal Double lift.
Au Natural Located in the Carinthia area on what was previously Rusty Nail, this new terrain park will be natural snow-only and expand the options for freestylers.
BUMPS & TUBES
Beartrap Although not technically a terrain park, Beartrap is where the bump-lovers hang. The music blasting from the lift towers, big bumps, southern exposure and dedicated lift make this Mount Snow’s most popular bump trail.
Tubing Park A chairlift services tubing run located on the Ski Baba trail in our Carinthia area. Click for more info. Get more info>
