MLK Weekend at Mount Snow

Thursday, January 12, 2017

Events and activities abound for MLK Weekend!

First off, let’s talk about the weather. Right now we’re looking at sunny skies and favorable snowmaking temps throughout the weekend, which will allow us to resurface the mountain and then move on to opening additional terrain. Be sure and check out our snow report for updates as the weekend progresses.

This weekend is also the first of two times we’ll be hosting the BMW Winter xDrive Experience , which offers the opportunity to get behind the wheel of BMW’s full fleet of xDrive vehicles, and see for yourself why they are the official vehicles of Mount Snow. This will be running all weekend, so be sure to find a time to stop by, as it was a real hit last year.

Sunday kicks off with a family tubing party from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. courtesy of Mount Snow Family Camp , which rolls right into our Torchlight Parade and Fireworks . Then, leave the kids with a sitter, and head over to the Snow Barn for a night with Brewer’s Fest headliner and Mount Snow favorite, Jeff Thouy . Speaking of live music, Bruce will be playing at Cuzzins Saturday and Sunday, and we’ve got a full lineup of shows all weekend at the Snow Barn .

Over at Carinthia, we’re planning on opening The Gulch on Friday, which has been newly rebuilt with additional features, including a jump line. This will be followed by the planned opening of Inferno on Saturday with its famous jumps. Then on Sunday, stop by the for the second Grommet Jam of the season and cheer on the kids as they throw down in the Grommet Park.

See you all out there!
