Kelly's Blog: Plan for Opening Weekend

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

The moment we have all been waiting for...opening weekend.  Here are the details.

Friday, Nov 15 9 am – 3:30 pm

SAT and SUN (Nov 16 & 17)  8 am – 3:30 pm

Closed MO- TH.  Reopen Friday, Nov 22 for the season (weather permitting)

Cascade, Canyon, Beaver, Launchpad, Gulch and Long John from the top of Nitro Express Lift all the way down to the base area.

This means that you can ski back to the main mountain from Carinthia, using Long John but you cannot ski to Carinthia from the main mountain.  There are 2 ways to get to Carinthia:

  1. Park at Carinthia

  2. Take the Moover

We will try to go as big as possible over at Carinthia Parks.  Transworld and Ski Magazine voted us #1 in the East so  we plan to deliver.  Our goal is over a dozen features, spines, etc.

Expect thin spots and partial trail widths.  Slow down for water bars.  No beginner access on main mountain or Carinthia.  All beginner terrain is on Launch Pad.
