You’re Invited!

There is something about early mornings on the mountain that can be breathtaking. Getting off the Grand Summit Express and looking out over the Valley is a different experience each and every day. Sunrises are phenomenal and every so often you are lucky enough to witness an undercast, when the clouds are below the summit and you feel like you just climbed out of a page from Jack and the Beanstalk. If you have never taken an early lift to the summit, here’s your invite.

In this photo: Undercast - snapped last year by one of our passholders. It was taken from the top of the Grand Summit Express. Great photo Lauren!

You are cordially invited to AM Express, a program for season passholders, Grand Summit Owners and VIO cardholders. In the past these morning sessions were called First Tracks but with the new year, this program has some added perks and a new name!

AM Express allows passholders to board The Grand Summit Express starting at 7:30 am. Lift access will be available anytime between 7:30 to 8 am (you do not have to be there at 7:30 am!) and the Main Face of the mountain will be open for your skiing and riding pleasure. This is no longer a guided tour but you'll see Mount Snow management still taking runs with you as we really enjoy the early morning corduroy too! You pick your trails and your pace.
AM Express is available every Saturday starting January 8th - March 12th.

There are some restrictions and things to be aware of so here goes. Because grooming and snowmaking operations will still be in progress, Sunbrook, North Face and Carinthia will not open until 8 am. If you descend into these areas you’ll be stuck down there until the lifts open at 8 am. Please stay on the main mountain.

AM Express is only open to passholders (and our Grand Summit Hotel Partner's Program) and you must have your pass with you. No pass, no lift. This is exclusive to passholders so guests are not allowed. This program is weather permitting. If we have to cancel, it will be posted on the morning snow report.

I am looking forward to skiing with you next Saturday. You never know what your early morning cruisers will bring. A few years ago on Easter I actually saw a good-sized hare scoot across Cascade, into the woods on skier’s right. I’d settle for lots of corduroy but that made my day!
