Expanded Terrain and A Packed Event Schedule for Martin Luther King Jr. Weekend at Mount Snow

West Dover, VT (January 14, 2016) – Mount Snow Resort announces an aggressive terrain opening plan and packed event schedule for Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. The resort plans on opening up to 15 additional trails with a total of up to 300 skiable acres by Saturday. With more terrain and a weekend packed full of events, there’s never been a better time to make a trip to Mount Snow for the holiday weekend.

As part of an aggressive terrain opening plan, Thanks Walt and Beartrap on the resort’s Sunbrook face are planned to open by Saturday morning. With the addition of Sunbrook, all four mountain faces will be open for skiing and riding.  Other trails that are planned to open by the weekend include Milky Way, The Farm, Junkyard, Mine Shaft, Tin Lizzy, Season's Pass, Sweet 16, Fallen Timbers, and South Bowl.

“We’re extremely happy with what we’ve been able to open over the past few weeks,” said Dave Moulton, Director of Mountain Operations.  “It’s a testament to significant improvements in snowmaking leading into the 2015-16 season, and it means that we’re able to provide the best possible experience for our MLK weekend guests.”
