Mount Snow, VT. – November 21,2016 – With seven inches of snow overnight and more snow on the way Mount Snow is pleased to announce that it has pushed up its opening day to Wednesday, November 23, 2016.
With temperatures in the ideal range for snowmaking operations and natural snowfall forecasted to continue through Tuesday, Mount Snow general manager Kelly Pawlak has officially made the call to open early for the 2016-2017 winter season.
“After last year we’re thrilled to be in a position to open early,” said Kelly Pawlak, general manager of Mount Snow. “We’ve had the perfect mix of cold temperatures for snowmaking and natural snowfall to get our winter started off on the right foot.”
Mount Snow is currently planning on opening at 9:00 a.m. on November 23, 2016 with top-to-bottom skiing on Cascade and Canyon, as well as Long John, Deer Run, Launch Pad and The Gulch at Carinthia, but is prepared to open additional trails as snowmaking and natural snow allow.
