Mount Snow provides employment opportunities to candidates from all over the world! Last winter over 250 people from South America, Australia, New Zealand, Africa and Europe joined the team at Mount Snow for the work experience of a lifetime.
Located in Southern Vermont just hours away from Boston and New York City, Mount Snow is a choice destination for those who wish to experience what life is like at a premier ski resort AND have a chance to visit some of the greatest cities the U.S. has to offer.
If you are interested in working at Mount Snow for the 2007-2008 winter, please read the following carefully, and contact our International Coordinator, Tony Rosinski, with any further questions.
Mount Snow employs international workers who have obtained one of the following two Visa types:
J-1 Student Exchange Work/Travel Visa:
The J-1 visa is designed for university students that are interested in a work and travel experience in the United States. The duration of the visa is comprised of two parts, work and travel. All Mount Snow employees on J-1 visas are required to work for the full 4-month duration, at which point 30 days of travel anywhere in the USA is allowed. This means that you will work for 4 months, from approximately December 15th to April 15th. After your work is complete at Mount Snow, the J-1 visa is valid for an additional 30 days to travel anywhere in the United States.
If you are interested in obtaining a J-1 visa to work at Mount Snow during the winter 2007-2008, you must contact Universal Student Exchange. ALL J-1 visas must be obtained through U.S.E., including returning staff members.*
H-2B Work Visa:
The H-2B work visa was created to allow people to come to the United States temporarily, mainly for non-agricultural jobs, in which U.S. workers are in short supply. Mount Snow hires H-2B workers for the following five positions:
If you are interested in coming to work at Mount Snow under the H-2B visa status, contact one of our two recruiters located in the United Kingdom for more details. ALL H-2B visas must be obtained through our U.K. recruiters.*
Returning Staff:
J-1 *Returning staff members do NOT need to participate in the job-fair/interview process. First, contact Tony Rosinski to confirm your re-hire status. After he confirms that Mount Snow would like to hire you for another season, sign up for the “independent-placement” option with U.S.E., and fax or email your blank job-offer form to (802) 464-4135 or trosinski@mountsnow.com. Please be sure to include your name, phone number and email address.
H-2B *Returning staff members will pay $50 for premium processing and other U.S.C.I.S. filing fees. In addition, Bryan Bissell or Rob Mos will also collect a $350 deposit that will be returned to you upon your arrival at Mount Snow. Please feel free to start planning right away; it’s never too early to contact Mount Snow about winter employment. If you have any questions, comments or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact trosinski@mountsnow.com, Bryan Bissell or Robert Mos. We look forward to seeing you again this season!
